Boston Scientific Global Fulfillment Center
500 Commander Shea Blvd, Quincy, MA 02171
Join NepRWA Board Members, staff, volunteers, and friends at the beautifully refurbished Boston Scientific Global Fulfillment Center–with its stunning view of the Neponset River in Quincy–as we explore the implications of a changing climate for the river and our civic institutions.
Our guest speaker is Paul Kirshen—Co-Academic Director of the Sustainable Solutions Lab at the University of Massachusetts Boston and professor at the School for the Environment.
Paul is expanding the conversation on how Boston can best respond to these tremendous changes, on both a technical level as Principal Investigator for the Harbor Wide Barrier Study, and on a governance and environmental justice level through conversations convened by the Sustainable Solutions Lab.
Paul will share his thoughts with us on what may be facing metro Boston over the next 50 or 60 years, the importance of adaptive management in mitigating the impacts, and the role that citizen advocates and regional groups like NepRWA can and should play.
Ticket registration begins April 1.
